Hi Sewists
I’m really willing the summer on. Remember last week (or so) I shared a pretty flamboyant summer outfit I’d made for my last Minerva Craft fabric review? Well, I couldn’t make do with just the one set, so with my next fabric consignment, I made another!
Check out the full post on the Minerva Blog, where I describe how I drafted some really low-profile side pockets onto my simple-self-drafted shorts.
As before, the hat is the free Elbe Bucket Hat pattern (I think I could make these in my sleep now!) The shirt is ‘Bernie’ from La Maison Victor. And I drew the shorts myself.
So, if you’re out and about in London this summer, I’m sure you’ll spot me! Do say hi! 😂
Until next time,
Happy sewing!
And, when you’ve worn all the “goody” out of this ensemble, you can demote it to pajama status and continue to enjoy its delights.
I try to live my life in clothing that is as comfortable as pajamas, so that I can still wear the garments even after they are too threadbare to don for my adoring public (HAHAHAHAHA) to see.
Yes, that’s the beauty of a good quality cotton… I’ll be passing this outfit down to my great- nephews! 🤣👍
Such a fun outfit! Fingers crossed for lots of sunshine so you can wear it often!
I got to wear the shirt & hat at Easter already! Hoping for a summer like last years though! (… only without the broken arm!) 😅🙏
Fabulous! Love the fabric. And you’ve got the model pose nailed now 😉
Haha! Thanks Diane! 👍🤣👯♂️
