I think I’m going to need a little more than staystitching to stop this neckline from stretching out! A bit of lightweight fusible in the seams should do it 🙏🏻

It’s not every day you get measured up for your own bespoke jacket pattern 🤩 thank you @jatay32 🙏🏻 I Hope I can do your hard work justice 😅🫣🙏🏻

Trying out a new pattern and a new technique - the #deauvilleshirt from @aliceandcopatterns and a one-piece-collar (swipe for collar pics) … my first attempt was a bit puckery- and I cut the sleeves short ✂️- and I’m really happy with the results 🤩 I went for the most basic version with no topstitching (weird for me, but refreshing 😅) All went together smoothly on the @pfaffuk #creative30 👍🏻 For my next one I think I’ll lower the yoke slightly and add side vents to the hem 👍🏻 Hopefully there’s still enough summer left to wear it ☀️🕶️

New shirt and shorts for a sunny afternoon! All sewn up on my marvellous Pfaffs (creative 3.0 & Admire Air 5000 - on loan from @pfaffuk 🙏🏻) - the shirt is from @aliceandcopatterns via the V&A website (the fabric gifted by a client who went to India 🙏🏻) the shorts are the chino pattern from the first #gbsb book, the first trouser pattern I ever made and still a favourite (can’t remember where I got the fabric, it’s a lightweight stretch denim so super comfy!)

Here’s a little video on one piece tower plackets! I’m glad to be in my new sewing room (albeit half-unpacked!) and back on the pfaffs! New shirt coming very soon!

Finally unpacking the Pfaffs! It’s nearly 10 weeks since I’ve seen these beauties!! - my new sewing room is far from ‘sorted’ but now there is space to sew!
